20-22 September 2016 - Fehmarnbelt Days 2016

After 2012 in Lübeck/Hamburg and 2014 in Copenhagen the Fehmarnbelt Days 2016 will take place

from 20 till 22 September 2016,
at the HafenCity University Hamburg
Überseeallee 16, 20457 Hamburg.

Join key decision-makers and experts to discuss options, initiatives and projects pushing the future-oriented development of the Fehmarnbelt Region. At this high-level event, we bring together cross-border stakeholders from industry, politics, culture, education, science and public institutions as well as NGOs. This is also a great chance to present your activities to interested stakeholders and the general public in Hamburg.

01 October 2014 - FBBC Business Day

We would like to use the opportunity of this year's FBBC Business Day held in the context of the Fehmarnbelt Days 2014

on Wednesday, 1st October 2014,
13.00 till 17.00 h, Tivoli Congress Center,
Arni Magnussons Gade 2, 1577 Copenhagen,

to introduce some of the companies and projects that are actively involved within the market chances that a cross border cooperation leads to.

High-level businesses will speak about their experiences and activities concerning cross-border cooperation as well as strategic decisions taken in regard to the future Fehmarnbelt Fixed link and the aspects that make the region between Hamburg/Lübeck and Copenhagen/Malmö such a unique business region.

Ahead of the FBBC Business Day you have the possibility to join an excursion to the Øresundsbron and participate in a common networking lunch with participants of the entire Fehmarnbelt Days 2014.

24 Juni 2014 - 18. Hafenfrühstück

In the context of the 18. Hafenfrühstück the Fehmarnbelt Business Council (FBBC) represented by Nicolaus Lange, FBBC Chairman and Michael Svane, FBBC Vice Chairman, presented the current planning status of the Fehmarnbelt Fixed Link in English and German. Both presentations will take no longer than 20 minutes in order to have about half an hour left for your questions. The 18. Hafenfrühstück takes place

The topic "Fehmarnbelt Fixed Link as a growth engine for the Baltic Sea Region - Strong Consideration in BVWP of Major Importance" will be presented in a way also covering the impacts on the shipping traffic in the Baltic Sea Region.

21 Mai 2014 - Hamburg Copenhagen Business Forum

The first „Hamburg Copenhagen Business Forum“ takes place

on Wednesday, 21 Mai 2014,
09.00 till 17.00 h, in the Chamber of Commerce in Hamburg
Adolphsplatz 1, 20457 Hamburg

It aims at establishing a platform for business exchange between the business regions of the metropolitan areas of both cities. Entrepreneurs will gain the opportunity to inform themselves about new developments in the metropolises and establish new business contacts.

FBBC Chairman Nicolaus Lange and FBBC Vice Chairman Michael Svane will have a key note speech on the Fehmarnbelt fixed link in the context of the forum.

Apart from that the forum will deal with the following topics:

  • “Greener city, better life: Sustainable growth through smart technology”
  • “Healthcare meets innovation: how to manage hospitals of tomorrow”
  • “You are welcome! Strategies for attracting global talents”
  • and “Real estate”.


Additionally, the majors of both metropolises, Frank Jensen and Olaf Scholz, will outline in a moderated dialog the future of cooperation between both regions.
