The first „Hamburg Copenhagen Business Forum“ took place on May 21, 2014, at the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce. Its aim is to establish a platform for business exchange between the business regions of the metropolitan areas of both cities. Entrepreneurs gained the opportunity to inform themselves about new developments in the metropolises and establish new business contacts.
FBBC Chairman Nicolaus Lange and FBBC Vice Chairman Michael Svane held a key note speech on the Fehmarnbelt fixed link in the context of the forum.
Apart from that the forum dealt with the following topics:

- “Healthcare meets innovation: how to manage hospitals of tomorrow”
- “You are welcome! Strategies for attracting global talents”
- and “Real estate”.
Additionally, the majors of both metropolises, Frank Jensen and Olaf Scholz, took part in a moderated dialog about the future of cooperation between both regions.
