On the 11th of March 2015, the Plenum of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Schwerin adopted a resolution on the Fehmarnbelt Fixed Link

The Fehmarnbelt Fixed Link is an important issue to the Plenum of the Schwerin Chamber of Commerce and Industry – especially when claiming their demands into the direction of national politics concerning the opportunities and challenges of this infrastructure project. “The region of Westmecklenburg can profit from this monumental project to a great extent, if we start working on the alignment of the infrastructure towards the expected traffic flows, today. Also the mental “bridge-building”, which is effectuated by the creation of the Tunnel, enhances the growth in the region through intensive cross border cooperation,” said Hans Torn, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Schwerin.
